Purpose of the pathfinder:
This pathfinder is designed to help students learn about and understand the journey many of our ancestors took during the period between 1800 and the Civil War. It covers the initial expedition of Lewis and Clark up to the string of wagon trains that rolled across the West and filled the land with settlers from coast to coast.
